Skene Announces New Partnership with Diseño Coreógrafo to Advance Choreographic and Spatial Design Research
Austin TX — September 22, 2025 — Skene is proud to announce a new partnership with Diseño Coreógrafo, the groundbreaking platform led by award-winning scenographer and costume designer Carolina Jiménez, dedicated to exploring the intersection of movement, design, and choreographic thinking in contemporary performance.
This collaboration will support shared initiatives in embodied research, spatial composition, and cross-disciplinary knowledge exchange—strengthening connections between choreographers, designers, and performance practitioners across the Americas and beyond.
“Diseño Coreógrafo expands the conversation around how bodies, materials, and environments co-create meaning,” said Josafath Reynoso, Founder and Chief Editor of Skene. “Partnering with Carolina Jiménez and her visionary platform aligns with Skene’s mission to illuminate innovative approaches to design and performance worldwide.”
A celebrated figure in Mexican performance design, Jiménez has been recognized by the National System of Art Creators, the Festival Pantalla de Cristal, and multiple editions of World Stage Design. Her leadership in workshops, curatorial projects, and international festivals—including USITT and the Prague Quadrennial—has made her a leading voice in choreographic scenography. She currently serves as President of Vestuario a Escena MX.
Through this partnership, Skene and Diseño Coreógrafo will jointly develop features, conversations, and resources centered on choreographic thinking, spatial practice, and collaborative creation.
